Gindara no Kirimi

Black cod fillets200 grams, 2 fillets

Regular price €12,50

No kirimi literally means “fillet of…” — black cod in this case.

Our black cod is caught in the cold waters of Alaska and, contrary to what the name might suggest, is not related to cod. This exclusive fish is renowned worldwide for its buttery texture and rich, full flavor. It is highly prized in Japan.

Black cod — called gindara in Japan — is naturally very fatty, making it ideal for grilling or slow cooking. In Japanese cuisine, it is considered a true delicacy, often marinated in miso and loved by both chefs and home cooks alike.
