Takoyaki
Fried octopus ball-shaped dumplings │400 grams, 20 pieces
Takoyaki is a very popular Japanese street food dish. You can’t visit a street festival or fair in Japan without seeing a takoyaki stand on every corner. Takoyaki are round, golden-brown batter balls filled with pieces of octopus (tako), spring onion, and pickled ginger.
The outside is lightly crispy, while the inside remains soft and creamy. The snack is often served with savory takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori (seaweed flakes), and dancing katsuobushi (bonito flakes).
