Introduction
Hokkai at Home with Kirsten (22) from Rotterdam: ‘As a student and fish lover, I love to cook with the products of Hokkai Suisan. With these products it is very easy to quickly prepare a healthy and delicious meal. Moreover, the flavors bring me straight back to Japan; my favorite holiday destination. After a long day at the university, I made Gindara Saikyozuke for my roommate and myself. Other than that I kept it simple with some eggplant, spring onion and rice. It was superb!’Preparation
- Defrost the cod for 30 minutes in the package in cold water.
- Preheat the oven at 230 ℃.
- Cook the rice according the instructions on the package.
- Cut the eggplant into blocks and chop the spring onion.
- Mix the soy sauce with the mirin.
- Put the fish on a baking tray covered with a sheet of baking paper and put in the oven for ca. 7 minutes.
- Bake the eggplant and the spring onion and add the soy sauce and mirin mixture at the end.
- Take the fish out of the oven and serve with the rice and vegetables.
