Put the summer on the table with the Hokkai Snackboard! All fish products in this recipe can be ordered from our webshop. Enjoy the sun with a cold glass of beer and our delicious Japanese fish snacks.
Tuna fishing season
The month of June was all about the new tuna fishing season! Our exclusive tuna products come from the Spanish company Balfegó; this is the first bluefin tuna company in the world with an environmental sustainability certificate.
All tuna is ICCAT-certified, which means that according to the strict catch limit, tuna may only be fished for one month per year. As a result, large tuna populations have been swimming in the Mediterranean Sea again for ten years now, which is extremely important.
Hokkai & Friends: Hotate-fry
Scallops are an age-old delicacy eaten in Japan. The Japanese fishing company Yamajin catches these molluscs and gives them a special treatment so that we can distribute the best Hotate-fry (breaded scallops) in Europe.
