Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador
Our CEO Marinus Noordenbos has been appointed Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). “An enormous honour! With Hokkai Suisan we are committed to making Japanese food culture accessible throughout Europe. It is ourm mission to bring both authentic and contemporary Japanese fish dishes to as many dining tables as possible.”
Chef’s Recipe: Mentaiko Potato
Chef Kuniyoshi Ohtawara shared his recipe for Mentaiko Potato. A dish in which he gives a Dutch twist to our spicy pollack roe. With this recipe, you can put a delicious meal on the table in 15 minutes with only five ingredients.
Hokkai Freshly Frozen Box
This month, we have made many fish lovers in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe happy with the Hokkai Freshly Frozen Box. This box is filled with a selection of our favourite fish products, from (marinated) fish fillets to sashimi, fish snacks and curry. Ideal to get acquainted with our extensive range or to try out new products. We adjust the contents of the boxes monthly, so feel free to be surprised again.
Hokkai at Home: Salmon with potatoes and broccoli
This month, home cook Martine (41) shared her recipe for salmon with potatoes and broccoli. “The fish was deliciously fresh and very easy to prepare. Highly recommended for a weekday meal when you don’t have time to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. For me, this is definitely worth repeating, I had a great time and I’m already looking forward to the other Hokkai variations!
